Most people think of estate planning simply as a way to plan for distribution of their assets when they die. Many lawyers do too. I approach things differently. I look at your family and your specific needs and I view it as a way to plan, not your death, but for the life beyond you – for your kids and family – in the way you would intend.

Because of my background, education and experiences, I believe I am uniquely positioned to understand the needs of a young family. And, more importantly, I’m in a position to help.

I’m a parent like you

I understand estate planning can be an extremely daunting task to undertake. I have a family of my own and know what it’s like to be in your shoes. I understand the worries and uncertainty. And all the questions. It’s my goal to help alleviate these feelings and guide you through the process.

I put you in control

Planning an estate should not be about one cookie cutter plan that works for everyone. I believe in addressing your specific needs and creating a plan around them so your assets are used in the way you would want if you were here to speak for yourself. My goal is to provide you with a peace of mind that your family will have protection and guidance during difficult times.

Otherwise, important questions like, how to choose a guardian for your children and when and how their trust funds can be spent, would be left up to the courts, often taking years in probate court to get sorted out.

I work hard to be an expert in my field

Education is extremely important to me. It’s what gives me the tools I need to be able to address your needs in the best way I can. In addition to my Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, I hold a Masters of Law in Taxation with an emphasis in estate planning (LL.M.) and attend many continuing legal education seminars and stay on top of all the latest and greatest ways to plan.
